Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of ClassScribe (classscribe.in) and its services. By creating an account, signing in, or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Accounts & Eligibility

You sign in using Google authentication. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google account secure. You must be capable of forming a binding contract to use paid features.

2. Free tier

• AI tokens: 25,000 free tokens every month (resets on the 1st of each month, UTC), available on an ongoing basis.
• Audio: a free trial of 3 recording sessions (up to 30 minutes each), usable on any 3 days.
• All features are accessible on the free tier subject to these quotas.

3. Paid credits & validity

Once credits are exhausted or their 1-year validity ends, they are no longer available. Your recurring free monthly token quota continues regardless of any paid plan.

4. Mock-test wallet

Mock-test generation is pay-as-you-go. Any wallet balance you top up does not expire. If a generation fails after payment (for example, due to a temporary AI outage), the amount is automatically credited back to your mock-test wallet for a retry.

5. Payments

Payments are processed securely via Razorpay in Indian Rupees (₹). We do not store your card or bank details. Applicable taxes, if any, are as shown at checkout.

6. Refunds & cancellations

Credits are consumable digital goods. Once credits have been used, that portion is non-refundable. Failed AI generations are auto-refunded to your wallet as described above. For any billing issue, contact hello@classscribe.in and we will help resolve it.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including uploading unlawful or infringing content, attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer the platform, or using it to generate harmful or prohibited material. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Content & intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant ClassScribe a limited licence to process it solely to provide the service (transcription, notes, mock tests, etc.). AI-generated output is provided for your use; you are responsible for how you use it.

9. AI accuracy disclaimer

ClassScribe uses AI to generate notes, summaries, questions and answers. AI output may contain errors and is provided “as is” for study assistance only — it is not a substitute for professional, academic, legal, medical or financial advice. Please verify important information.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
